Ceremonies

CEREMONIES are an important part of our modern lives, the most familiar of these being birthdays, weddings, christenings and graduations but ceremonies are as ancient as humankind itself though sadly, like many things, they have become more about the spectacle, the party and so much more commercial than the deep honouring of sacred milestones.

Rituals and ceremonies have been a major part of Rituals For Life Founder, Kimm Fearnley’s life for many years and have bonded her closer to the rhythm of nature and the flow of life with it’s challenges and lessons.

From the simplicity of creating a shrine to bring daily focus, intention and gratitude to monthly Full and New Moon rituals to seasonal fire rituals and on to the bigger ceremonies following a birth, marriage or a death, rituals and ceremonies bring groups of those closest to us together in deeply supportive, powerful ways forging connections to roots, friends and family, community, ancestry and guides us on our way to the next stages of our journey.

From Kimm’s' time in India and Nepal and later through her British Wheel of Yoga teacher training, she developed a fascination with the daily rituals, philosophy and the deities that are part of the fabric of life for so many. Kimm was also fortunate to have so many wonderfully generous teachers from various parts of the world all willing to share their wisdom and knowledge of ancient practices from many cultures including Pagan, Mayan and the glorious ancient Despacho blessing ceremonies from Peru and Bolivia.

It feels natural for her now to take the combined aspects of these beautiful ceremonies into the wider world and offer them to others in way that guides them to bring deeper meaning, intention and commitment into the important events in their lives.

Each ceremony is mindfully and individually created to reflect the unique lives, beliefs and intentions of those for whom the ceremony is focused while also ensuring those in the supporting roles have an active and meaningful role.
